Medium: Acrylic, pastel, water colour
Description: This series is about different depictions of the sea. I was particularly inspired to paint the sea, as there is something calming yet frightening about it. The vast space is something that we know so little about.
Instead of recreating a faithful likeness of landscape on paper, I wanted to express its essence by using colours and brushstrokes to display emotions. Placing turmoil beside serenity and surreality, juxtaposing the different situations.
These paintings are meant to resonate with people who love the sea like I do. They are a fusion of expressions of my feelings and the many concepts that I have picked up during this period of time.
